I wast interested to learn that capitalization is a definite \"not\" in the classroom because it's easier to read lower case letters. Students tend to use capitals a lot nowadays because of the usage in texting to show emotion, emphasis etc. (the overuse of exclamation points drive me crazy as well). The list of items for proper use of a white board was beneficial as well. Again, simple, obvious steps that were not part of my education program at UBC. I also haven't much experience using workbooks/resource books, so the explanation of using the three types and their advantages and disadvantages was helpful. I do pull my lessons from a variety of sources, so I see the benefits of this variety in terms of resources and aids. I don't use a smart board because we can't get it in the elevator, and my school doesn't have enough money for computers for everyone, so we do use a lot of teacher created, pen and paper resources. Thankfully, they can still be very effective.
