This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit helped me stretch my creativity within the task activities. Coming up with new ways on how to adapt a game to an English lesson required having to think about games that I grew up with and enjoyed playing, and asking how I could modify it to make it relevant to a potential lesson and what the aim of that lesson is. One thing I also appreciated about the lesson was the part addressing why students may not want to participate, such as having little confidence, being concerned about their peers' opinions, etc. and instead of simply giving techniques on overcoming it, I drew upon the video lessons in Unit 10 to see how the students became more engaged and overcame their reluctance to participate.
