Not having learnt it since the first grade, this unit was a great review of phonology and proper pronunciation. It allowed me to see, again, how English sounds are put together and instructed. The unit breaks down phonology of the English language by going through the core aspects of intonation, rhythm, and stress, as well as the phonetic alphabetical symbols. Continuing on from these aspects, it provides a background of the origin of the sounds produced and learned through English phonetics through mouth diagrams. Having reviewed this material, it has allowed me to grasp a once ancient knowledge from my memory and reproduce it in a classroom setting for potential students.
