I like the Straight arrow teaching method. The engage phase is a good way to get students to start talking and relax. Its good for relieving the stress of starting class. The study phase is the actual teaching portion where I can introduce new lessons to the students and show them the correct and incorrect way of using the new things. Worksheets are a good thing to use during this phase as the student get to hone their new skills and I can monitor whether or not they understand by how well they do on the worksheets. Finally the engage stage is where the students get to use their new skills by actively speaking.
