This unit explores the different past tenses that we can use to describe events in the past. These are: the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect, and the past perfect continuous. These tenses are explored in more detail, their structure and usages are given, and we are given some tips for the activate teaching stage for these tenses. In this unit I feel I have learnt to properly identify a past tense sentence, and be able to better explain the differences between the various past tenses. I have also learnt to be better able to compare the structures of the present and past tenses.
