I spent 12 years teaching student's with severe behavioral issues. I've worked/taught in Juvenile Detention Centers, Residential Treatment Centers, private day schools for children who have such severe behavior issues that they are unable to be educated in their home schools, and psych hospitals. I have to say, I thought I knew a lot about how to properly manage student's behavior, but even I learned a great deal from this unit. Teachers really do set the tone for the class and can mold and tweak it to best help the student's that we are working with. Having more tools in my tool box is going to benefit me and my student's. I like how this unit broke down the advantages and disadvantages of different types of groupings. This was very helpful!
