In this unit, I have learnt if clause and reported speech. First, the conditionals include Zero Conditional, First Conditional, Second Conditional, Third Conditional and Mixed Conditional, among which Mixed Conditional are the most difficult one, because it has something to do with the previous conditionals and it is usually confusing for students. But this unit offers teaching ideas to this grammar, which is of great help. When it comes to reported speech, it is of great importance based on the usage. Direct speech is more commonly seen while reported speech is most seen and used in writing, turning it into a object clause in reality. One thing needs noticing is that when one turn direct speech into reported speech, he or she has to pay more attention to the verb tenses, pronouns as well as time expressions.
