The main subject of Unit 13 is teaching pronunciation and phonology. The unit goes over topics such as intonation, stress, sound joining, linked speech, the phonemic alphabet, phonemic symbols, and articulation. The lesson also provides various suggestions that can be utilized for teaching the different topics.
I quite enjoyed this unit. It was really interesting learning about IPA. I have seen it countless times in dictionaries and various books, yet I never really understood what it was or how to truly read it. Reading simple English sentences or scripts about Yogi bear using a different alphabet was very fun.
