In this unit, we really delved into the core materials of the TESOL License. As a teacher, everything else you can almost fake your way through pretending you know what you are doing. But this is the real knowledge which can never be faked. We began with the tenses, learning that there are 3 tenses: past, present, and future. But each of these tenses has four aspects to them: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. In this unit, we delved into all four aspects of the present tense. We learned the form of each aspect, when and how to use them, typical student errors, and also some activities we could do with the class during the Activate Stage of our lesson plan.
