Unit 3: In Unit Three I learned about different theories of teaching. The approach of each theory varied from a traditional classroom setting such as, writing lessons on a chalkboard, to very non-traditional teaching methods using colored rods and phonemic charts. I learned that each method has it's place within the classroom and all methods can be utilized to get the desired results. I also learned about the different types of ESA lessons. The structure of an ESA lesson can depend and be varied, given the lesson of that day. An ESA lesson gives the teacher flexibility in the classroom, while maintaining structure.
