The equipment used by teachers in the classroom to aid in presenting lessons was discussed in the current unit. In addition, a comprehensive list of on line resources for teachers was also reviewed. I learned that institutions will vary in the availability and the sophistication of equipment and that the teacher should learn to utilize the equipment if available and to be prepared for equipment failure. A broad range of equipment from IWPs to simple cassette recorders were discussed, identifying the dis/advantages of each. What I found most helpful was the extensive list of on line resources for teachers (and students) in aiding the effective teaching and learning of English.
