This unit gives an overview of the main parts of speech. It labels each part, and describes how different elements are used and in what order. The unit starts with some examples and explains which word in a given sentence performs which role. We then enter into more detail within each category. We learn about the different types of nouns, about their usage and the words which can/can't be used with them. The same is accomplished for adjectives, pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions and more. I found this unit very interesting and feel like I have acquired a more stable foundation in English grammar on which to subsequently build. The fairly simple, concise explanations of each category have allowed me to retain the basic functions and meanings of the different parts of speech in English.
