This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focuses on the past tenses. The structure for the past tenses follows the same system as the present tenses. For example, continuous forms will have a form of the verb, 'to be' + the 'ing' form of the verb. If the verb is in past tense it will be past continuous, but if it is a present tense verb, it will be present continuous. This rule also applies to the perfect and perfect continuous forms. There are many activities to use in activate phase of the lesson, including: using storytelling, role-playing, journal entries, and visual prompts to involve students in the using the past tense. Many English verbs have irregular simple past form that students will need to memorize. One way for students to practice the irregular verbs is to use the memory game to match present and past tense verbs.
