I found it helpful to review the different methods and approaches to teaching language learners. I did feel that there are some antiquated methods that may not be important to learn about as the long list could be a little overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed the practical list of ideas and plan to implement them immediately into my teaching. Some were new to me. I also think remembering to include ESA in each lesson is a good reminder. Allowing and using a variety of approaches and activities will make the learning more meaningful to the students and reach a broader audience given the varying learning styles in a given classroom.
