This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was about understanding modal and phrasal verbs, as well as the active/passive voice. Knowing the proper meaning and usage of each in different tenses is essential for a student to improve their English language skills. Modal verbs basically add meaning to the verb in the sentence. Phrasal verbs consist of a verb plus one or two particles (which are prepositions or adverbs). Finally, the difference between the active and passive voice is in what the sentence emphasizes. In the active voice, the emphasis is on the \"doer\" of the action in the sentence, whereas in the passive the \"doer\" either isn't in the sentence or is much less important.
