This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
these two videos show two different lessons carried out by the sam teacher, with two completely different outcomes. In the first one the teacher comes into the classroom with a negative attitude that influences badly the students and prevents them from having a positive approach to the lesson, therefore they seem to have problems understanding the topic and following the teacher, who is doing absolutely nothing to facilitate the learning process. In the second video the situation presented is quite the opposite of the former one, as the students are quite receptive and adopt a positive attitude towards both the teacher and the lesson. In the second video the teacher's attitude is what really makes a difference, the fact that he's smiling and seems positive and encouraging is extremely reassuring for the students, who are clearly benefitting from it and are less stressed out then the students in the first video. Watching those videos is extremely helpful because it gives an insight on what's going on during a class and increases the awareness on the dos and don'ts of teaching.
