Unit 2 provides coverage of the most commonly needed areas of the grammatical system. While going through this unit I have gained a better perspective of which parts of speech a sentence consist of and I am able to better recognize and classify them. A basic sentence always consist of a subject and verb. Examples of other words a sentence will usually feature are classified as a noun, definite article, preposition, adjective, conjunction or adverb. A noun for example names people, animals, places or things and a verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being (go, watch, play, eat, be, seem, appear).
