As the final lesson in this excellent suite of educational material Unit 20 wrapped it up with an overview of troubleshooting potential issues in the classroom. Beyond how to diagnose and fix various issues this chapter told us what to expect out there in the teaching world and what might come as a surprise or unexpected hurtle. The main points in the unit were: first lessons, warmers, different levels in the same class, large classes, use of native tongue, reluctant students, and listening comprehension difficulty. In summary, I very much enjoyed this course and I think I will make an excellent ESL teacher.
