Lesson Planning is an effective way especially for inexperience teachers to conduct a lesson as it could help them to retain the direction of teaching; it is the instructor?s road map of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively during the class time. Unit 9 introduces the basic principles of lesson planning: how a lesson plan should be written down; what a lesson plan should include and the sequence of lesson plan. Unit 9 also outlines the guidelines and importance of monitoring our own lessons. There is an example of a standard lesson plan in Unit 9, I found it is very detailed and helpful, it gives me better understanding of the key stages of the lesson plan: outline learning objectives; plan the specific learning activities and develop a conclusion and a preview.
