This unit was fun, important, easy to digest, and critical to understanding how to teach English. It tackles one of the most important but overlooked aspects of teaching a foreign language; the course book and lesson materials. Although it would not be good to strictly teach a class only according to what is in the course book, it is extremely useful and helpful to utilize a good course book in order to help a teacher plan appropriate lessons, encourage student learning, and keep a good pace for a class at any level. This unit discusses the advantages and disadvantages of course books and what factors teachers have to consider when using course books. I loved this unit!
