This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit of study, I read a statement indicating that the \"process\" can be more important than the product. I took notice of that statement, because I think that, at times, in my teaching career, I forgot that! I think the process is especially important in a language class because that often means discussion or re-visiting learning to produce a product. Along the way, through the process, introspection and new learning takes place. This is invaluable in language acquisition. Also, I noted the suggestion to use video or audio recordings so that learners can view and/or hear themselves using their newly learned language. Another suggestion that I highlighted had to do with evaluation - that common errors made by the group are learning goals for remedial lessons, but personal mistakes should be discussed and corrected privately.
