This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This final unit was a good conclusion for tying up loose ends of material and answering any additional questions. It covered how to approach a first lesson and what type of activities should and shouldn't be done. In addition to teaching those of various language level, large class sizes, avoiding the native language and reluctant students. I think that avoiding the native language will be most difficult for me because I plan to teach English to those in Spanish-speaking countries and since I speak some Spanish I think I will find myself wanting to clarify for them. It will be important for me to focus on teaching the students instead of trying to improve my own Spanish skills.
I am looking forward to using these skills in future teaching environments. This course has been extremely helpful in reviewing previous knowledge and introducing new. Thank you!
