This unit covered the importance of lesson planning. It highlighted the functions of a lesson plan and how it is necessary for inexperienced teachers to have a lesson plan but without affecting class flexibility. Then the unit described how to write down a lesson plan and what should be included. It also included a sample lesson plan and included worksheets that could be used during language lessons. I learnt how to write and structure a formal lesson plan to help as a record and also how to monitor my lessons with the help of a self evaluation form to keep a record of the feedback of my lessons.
