This unit focused on productive skills such as speaking and writing. It distinguished between accuracy and fluency by providing useful examples that can help enhance either skill. For example, controlled activities are usually accuracy based and creative communication such as discussions are fluency focused. Personal key learning points included,specific activities such as games that can be adapted for classroom use. It has encouraged me to think about other games that could possibly be adjusted for ESL purposes. In addition to this, The guidelines provided for a creative speaking activities will greatly influence future lesson planning and structure.
