This unit focused on classroom management, how to set up seating arrangements, how to deal with unruly behavior, and how to effectively communicate and encourage interaction among the students themselves. I learned about the different ways to respond to students who act out, preventative measures, and how to create an overall positive classroom environment conducive to learning. The classroom size, the activity, the learning objectives, are all factors I should take into consideration when figuring out how to organise the students, even myself in relation to the students (i.e. whether I'm sitting/standing, speaking or eliciting speech from students).
