There are various reasons for two or more people to communicate with each other.
1) They have some communicative purpose
2) They want to say something
3) They want to listen to something
4) They are interested in what is being said
Both accuracy and fluency are equally important except both come into different stages of a lesson. Accuracy activities will check that the students can understand and use the language in a controlled way before being expected to try to use it creatively in a fluency activity.
In a creative speaking activity lesson, a straight arrow ESA is used.
In writing skills section, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, layout and punctuation are equally important.
