Today i learnt about planning lessons. I learnt that normally new teachers will have a more structured lesson plan compared to experienced teachers although this may not be the case. It is recommended to have a plan but for it to be flexible so as not to base the lesson on the teacher so much rather the students. The writing of a lesson plan has some important functions three of these being; an aid to planning, a working document and a record. I learnt some good examples of how a lesson plan can be written down and what to include in this plan. I learnt a key component in teaching is being organised and a lesson plan helps to do this.I also learned about planning the sequence of a lesson and some tips when doing this.
