As a relatively new teacher I am still figuring out how to utilize the ESA methods I learned in unit 3. With this unit I have gained a better understanding on how the ESA method works and how to apply it to certain lessons. For example when introducing new vocabulary to engage the students I can bring in a couple objects and have students describe the similarities and differences between the objects. During the study phase students can do exercises by matching vocabulary words to pictures of different objects. Lastly during the activate phase I can pair/group students and have them create a toy, in which the class will vote on which toy they'd want.
