The teacher in the two videos demonstrates the differences between good and bad teaching. In the first video, the teacher is not clearly understood by the students and that doesn't seem to matter to the teacher. The teacher pushes through his lesson plan without making sure that the students understand what he is teaching. He also makes several mistakes like turning his back on the class repeatedly and reading a book during class time. The second video shows a more effective teaching style. That is made apparent by the reactions of the students and their increased level of participation in the lesson. The teacher smiles, calls students by their names, is more patient, speaks clearer and it more upbeat, positive and encouraging. It makes all the difference for the students as the teacher creates a much more encouraging learning environment.
