1. Overview of Unit 14
Unit 14 deals with course books and lesson materials. The difference between authentic and created materials is briefly discussed with the warning to keep balance between these when using in lessons. Different classroom materials such as the wipe board, visual aids, worksheets, CD's/ DVD's/video's, dictionaries, course books, resource books and computers are examined and discussed with the advantages and disadvantages.
2.What I learnt
The 'warning' concerning the use of lesson materials and course books that struck me is: DON'T OVERUSE ANY SPECIFIC BOOK OR WHATEVER MATERIAL BUT KEEP THE LESSONS BALANCED! I appreciate the advice on the use of the various materials and course books. It covers a variety of options that is very stimulating.
