To sum up chapter 6, it discussed the different forms and usages for past tenses. In this chapter, I learn about four different past tenses, Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect, and Past Perfect Continuous. Not only does the chapter inform me on the forms and usages, it also adds in examples and how to use them in activate stage teaching. I also learned that Past Simple are completed actions at a definite time in the past, Past Continuous requires a form of time reference, Past Perfect tenses are usually actions that occurred before other actions in the past. Overall, the examples, forms, and descriptions gave me a better understanding of past tenses.
