This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Similar to the lesson taught in the video, I learned about modal auxiliary verbs. The unit covered the depth about its uses and provided plenty of examples to drill it in. Modals verbs are used to express a sense of obligation, possibility, probability, permission, prohibition, ability, advice, and formality. In a sentence, they are placed before a base form verb whether it is representing the future or the present time. Further into the unit, I learned about the differences between a passive voice and an active voice. The passive voice emphasizes less on the subject than the active voice. Finally, the unit discussed some of the different phrasal verbs used by real world English speakers. The rules, at first, seemed confusing and unclear. However, the examples were nice to use as a reference on their differences.
