This unit showcased that there are many different ways that should be utilized to gauge a students progress. Each of the different tests offers a different perspective on the students, and all are necessary. I was surprised to see that the tests could be so focused, as in the business tests, where students are tested in a way that prepares them for the life they will lead in an English speaking country. It was also nice to see that it is at the teachers discretion and sometimes tests can be conducted based on the way the teacher views the class and can also be made by teachers to a certain degree, giving teachers some creative flexibility in the way that they test their students and measure progress.
