This unit introdces two types of productive skills, which are writing and speaking. Both of them are equally importnant in producing a decent language. However, it tends to be quite harder to teach writing skills, especially to the students of younger age due to lack of their motivation. I agree with the writer of the unit about importance of handwriting. Many times I would meet the students whose handwriting becomes one of the main issues in later understanding of what they wrote, therefore in learning the language. Overall, the unit is quite useful in a way that it provides examples of different activities for teachers to use in a class.
