This unit shows two examples of the same lesson which is a good way to see the difference between a successful and unsuccessful session. I have learnt that teachers should avoid concentrating on stronger students, being nervous, too fast and too loud, giving unclear instructions, explaining structures and using terms beyond students' comprehenshion. A successful teacher should introduce himself and find out students' names, smile, use gestures, pictures and simple language to introduce new grammar and vocabulary. All students should be engaded and given equal time and opportunity to participate.
