This unit was about vocabulary, grammar, language functions, and how to teach these. The unit brought back the idea of ESA lesson structures and how to best use them for each of these aspects. It is important when teaching vocabulary to select words that are used frequently and words that are generally relevant to the student themselves and their potential use of it. When teaching grammar, the teacher needs to focus on meaning, use, forms and patterns, and how to speak and write whatever is being taught. Language functions focus on when to use what form of language (formal, informal, tentative, technical, etc.)
