This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In unit 3 I have learnt a lot about methodologies and technigues of teaching English. It is not easy to decide which is the best because all these different approaches and methods have their pluses and minuses. One of the youngest and most effective methods described in this unit is ESA (Engage, study, activate). It is suitable for all levels and it gives the teacher a great deal of flexibility. I have learnt that elicitation is very useful component of ESA method, as well as some examples of elicitation techniques were given in this unit. Then Stages of ESA method were described, including some example activities for each phase. Finally I have learnt how to give feedback my students and it was very beneficial for me to learn about correction techniques, what, when and how I should correct.
