The teachers, after have exposed the topic and the vocabulary of the day, have to help the students in training their receptive skills: reading and listening. For these purpose, teachers should plan several activities during their lesson because these skills hide potential problems.
In fact, if the teachers don't pre-teach the vocabulary and the words structures, students will never feel comfortables and they will always face obtacles.
So teachers have to:
-choose interesting topics in order to motivate the learners
-create interest before a reading or listening activity
-expose words and structures without overdo.
-create enthusiasm exposing fun activities, games, showing photos
Jigsaw reading or jumbled texts may help as well as listening songs or radio interviews.
