Like in every unit of study, I find myself as well this time happy to have reminded myself of the different verb forms for the past tense. One thing that was reiterated for me was that for each individual verb form there are certain conjugations that must be completed. For instance, for the past simple form, each verb must drop the last consonant and add -ed or -d to the base form. For the past continuous form, conjugation should be completed using this formula: subject + was/were (or, was/were + not) + verb+ing. Though each form is different in the past tense, each conjugation and manner of sentence construction serves a specific function to make conversation clear and to give it a specific flow.
