This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit discussed modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. This unit showed that in English grammar there will always be an exception that doesn't apply to some of the standard rules and instead it take memorization or break down a sentence or rearranging it to see what type of sentence it is. For example one of the standard rules we might remember from the previous lesson is that to understand what role each part of the speech within a sentence plays one has to look at its structure instead of the usage. This rule usually applies to tenses. However, when it comes to phrasal verbs, you can not look at its structure instead you have to learn the phrasal verbs or break down the sentence and look at its verbs and prepositions and whether it need an object.
