This was another interesting unit about a very devise subject. I have encountered first hand a variety of responses to different textbooks. The structure that a book brings is nice, but it can quickly lead to monotony if a teacher only pulls from it without any other form of engaging learning. I personally like to use the book as a foundation and use activities and additional material that is relevant to the subject matters. I appreciate the break down of good ways to utilize a book and what types of material are useful in supplementing course book material. I look forward to refining the material I used to supplement text books.
