Conditional sentences contain words such as if or when which refer to past, present or future possibilities. Chain conditional activity would provide fun and be humorous as each student provides an idea. Giving students a dilemma to solve in conditional question would be a creative exercise. Direct speech changing to Reported speech can be tricky and native speakers most likely take the tense changes fore granted since it just sounds correct to us. Pronouns will change depending on the context of the reported speech. Time expressions have a lot of potential for mistakes.
