This unit on teaching productive skills was good and I learned a lot. I was very happy to see that the importance of creative writing and games were incorporated in this unit. I think creative writing helps one think for themselves and jump outside the box of a classroom for a little bit. I think games are important in classrooms because even though the students may be learning, they don't realize that they are and it begins to come naturally, just like emersion into the language. I learned that each activity can be either an activity based on accuracy or fluency, but they are both equally important. I was very happy to see that in one of the techniques to encourage interaction is allowing time for the students to think before shouting answers, because I, myself, have often found myself in situations where the answer was shouted out before I was even given a moment to think about it. To me, that is very important for a teacher to realize.
