This unit covers pros and cons of using created materials, authentic materials and course books. As well as covering pros and cons unit describes how can a teacher supplement and combine methods to provide the most effective teaching experience, what kind of materials are best for what level of students. Important note, in my opinion, is the idea that you, as a teacher, must be aware of the students' level when choosing materials, ie authentic materials are usually better for advanced students unless you pick something remarkably easy, while created materials can be tailored for beginner level students.
