Unit 15's main focus is upon testing and evaluation. Tests used within a classroom setting (Placement tests, Diagnostic tests, Progress tests, and Practice tests) are helpful in identifying for the teacher the gaps in learning that might be taking place, as well as, successful areas of learning within the lesson structures. It also enables the teacher to prepare materials for future lessons to enhance the learning environment for the students. Classroom testing is helpful for the students to encourage them in preparation for tests and to give them feedback as to their progress. External testing is beneficial for job placement or promotion, also, for entry into a university.
