This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit eighteen covered modals, phrasal verbs, active and passive voice and relative clauses. Modals are auxiliary verbs that used to express ideas like obligation, ability, possibility, advice and permission or prohibition. they vary with degree of certainty, politeness and need depending on the modal used. Changing voices from active to passive changes the emphasis on the doer and although staying in the same tense adds the auxiliary verb be and the past participle.
Phrasal verbs are multi word verbs and the are three types, intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable. Relative clauses were also covered and there are, as well, three types. Independent, dependent and relative. The unit only really covered the two types of relative clauses defining and non defining.
