I have learnt from this unit that the past tense in English can be fairly daunting to look at. This took me the longest to get my head around and I will have to practice this more. But, once you have your head around it it becomes a lot easier than it seems at first glance. I think this unit also highlighted more than any that English has a lot more complexities than I ever even considered as a native speaker and will have heightened my empathy for the students that struggle. If I found this testing then I can only imagine how it will be for a young learner trying to understand the complexities for the first time!
