Unit 9 was all about lesson planning. It explained the importance of having the plans for the lesson prepared before the class starts with an emphasis on being prepared. It broke down and explained the key reasons for creating a lesson plan as well as explaining the basic principles that each plan should have. I appreciated the fact that it talked about how lesson plans can be either completely structured or a simple jotting down of notes to help the teacher stay organized and on task for the lesson. I think this offers a great deal of flexibility for teachers. Having never created a lesson plan of my own, I also appreciated the fact that this unit offered a completed example of a sample plan to study.
