This unit was about the phonology of the English language and how to teach the different aspects of it. The unit covered the importance of teaching phonology and the techniques for doing so. This unit merely gave an overview of the topic, but it covered important aspects such as the parts of our human anatomy used in speaking. It also covered intonation, stress, and rhythm in speaking. And finally, the unit explained the different approaches English teachers can take in lesson planning for teaching English learners the phonological skills needed in speaking to express themselves clearly in English.
