This unit was a challenge, mostly due to the idea and use of phrasal verbs. I think that will be one of the most challenging aspects of grammar to introduce. The most effective way to enforce those verbs will be to use them within the classroom setting as much as possible, and to perhaps drill some of them within simple sentences for the students to memorize. The modals were enjoyable, and I can see how they will be helpful in fine-tuning the way the students will learn to make requests or statements of ability, etc. Showing them the different levels of formality or grade of impact by changing the modals may be best exercised by role-playing exercises and controlled group challenges.
